St. Louis County near the Kabetogama and Namakan Lakes area. Total
snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches expected.
* WHERE…North St. Louis County. Recreation spots such as Voyageurs
National Park. This also includes the Boundary Waters western area.
* WHEN…From midnight tonight to 6 AM CST Friday.
* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions that could impact the
Thanksgiving morning and evening travel.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The heaviest lake effect snowfall is expected
north of the town of Orr and across the greater Namakan and
Kabetogama Lakes area, including parts of US Highway 53 near and
north of Ash Lake. Up to 2 inches of snowfall still remains
possible as far southeast as the city of Ely by Friday morning.
