*WHAT…Avalanche conditions are more dangerous than weve experienced this season.
*WHERE…All mountainous areas in Colorado
*WHEN… From 4:30 PM Wednesday until 4:30 PM Sunday.
*IMPACTS… Backcountry travelers can easily trigger dangerous
avalanches large enough to injure or kill a human.
*PRECAUTION/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… Avoid traveling on and under
slopes with a slope angle steeper than about 30 degrees. You can
trigger avalanches from a distance or from below. We will update the
avalanche forecast each afternoon with more detailed information on
local areas. Check it at www.colorado.gov/avalanche.
