A weather system moving through New Mexico will produce an area
of light snow over parts of the area late tonight through
Thanksgiving morning. Snowfall accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are
possible in the area from around Las Vegas to Santa Fe, Clines
Corners, Moriarty, and the Sandia Mountains. This may lead to a
period of slick travel on Thanksgiving morning for portions of
Interstate 25, U.S. Highway 285, and Interstate 40. A second area
of light snow may also impact the Continental Divide portion of
Interstate 40 over western NM. Folks planning travel in these
areas late tonight through Thursday morning should be prepared for
winter travel conditions and allow extra time to reach your
destination.
