Light to moderate snow will overspread portions of central and
southeast Illinois by mid-morning on Saturday and continue through
the day. The best chance for minor snow accumulations is south of a
Jacksonville to Paris line. The highest amounts are expected near the
US-50 corridor in southeast Illinois, where 1 to 3 inches of snow is
forecast. Snow will taper off Saturday evening.
The snow could result in roads becoming slippery in these areas on
Saturday. If you are traveling, slow down, drive carefully, and allow
extra time to reach your destination.
