Winter Weather Advisory issued November 29 at 5:49PM AKST until December 1 at 12:00AM AKST by NWS Juneau AK

…SNOW POTENTIAL CONTINUES THROUGH THIS WEEKEND…

An additional round of heavy snow is forecast beginning Saturday
afternoon and lasting well into Sunday night. Accumulating
snowfall will spread north with greatest accumulations along the
Icy Strait corridor Saturday night. Snow will end as it begins,
from south to north, with a transition to rain beginning over the
southern outer coast Sunday morning.

* WHAT…Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5
inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE…Prince of Wales Island.

* WHEN…From noon Saturday to midnight AKST Saturday night.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be difficult.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…A period of freezing rain is possible
before the transition to all rain.
