.Surf generated by an extra-large northwest swell (320 deg)
decreased below warning levels for most north and west facing shores
of the smaller islands this evening, but will remain above advisory
threshold through noon today. Advisory level surf will persist along
west facing shores of the Big Island through tonight.
* WHAT…Surf heights of 15 to 20 feet along north facing shores of
Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, and Maui. Surf heights of 14 to 18
feet along west facing shores of Niihau and Kauai, and 12 to 16
feet along west facing shores of Oahu and Molokai.
* WHERE…Portions of Kauai, Maui, Molokai, Niihau and Oahu.
* WHEN…Until noon HST today.
* IMPACTS…Moderate. Strong breaking waves and strong currents will
make swimming dangerous.
