Lake Effect Snow Warning issued December 1 at 5:27AM EST until December 2 at 7:00PM EST by NWS Buffalo NY

* WHAT…Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations 2 to
3 feet in the most persistent lake snows over Jefferson County.
Additional accumulations of 4 to 8 inches across the Tug Hill
region and portions of northern Lewis County. Additional
accumulations of 3 to 6 inches across Oswego County.

* WHERE…The Eastern Lake Ontario Region. The heaviest snow today
will focus mainly in Jefferson County and far northern Lewis
County. The band of heavy snow will then move south across the
entire region this evening.

* WHEN…Until 7 PM EST Monday.

* IMPACTS…Whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel
treacherous and potentially dangerous. Travel will be very
difficult to impossible.
