…HEAVY SNOW CONTINUES INTO MONDAY…

Heavy snow continues for the Haines area with warm temperatures
aloft over Juneau and Gustavus transitioning precipitation type to
a wintery mix including freezing rain. The transition to
rain has reached Angoon and Pelican with the rain- snow line
slowly moving north throughout the night tonight and into early
Monday.

* WHAT…Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of 3 to 7
inches.

* WHERE…Haines Borough and Klukwan.

* WHEN…Until 6 PM AKST this evening.

* IMPACTS…Travel will be difficult.

* ADDITIONAL INFORMATION…Snow may last longer into Monday night.
A period of freezing rain is likely before the snow fully
transitions to rain.
