Flood Advisory issued December 2 at 9:58PM AKST until December 3 at 9:00PM AKST by NWS Juneau AK

Heavy rainfall across the southern panhandle has resulted in minor
flooding near the Thorne River. Rainfall rates will continue to
diminish through late Monday, before picking back up again early
Tuesday.

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE…Thorne River near Areas Around The Thorne River Bridge.

* WHEN…Until 900 PM AKST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 956 PM AKST, river gauge reports indicate rises in water
levels from heavy rain in areas around the Thorne River
bridge. Minor flooding is ongoing, especially near Thorne
River. Over 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall
amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible.

– For Thorne River near Thorne Bay:
At 7:00pm the stage was 13.6 feet.
Flood Stage is 12.5 feet.

Impacts:
At 12.5 feet: Water will begin to flow over the road upstream
from the Thorne River bridge.

At 14.5 feet: 3 to 4 ft of water will be over the road
upstream from the Thorne River bridge.
