A band of mostly light snow is moving southeast across the North
Carolina Piedmont this morning. Most areas will only see light
accumulations, dusting on elevated and grassy surfaces. However,
more localized areas could see a brief burst of moderate snow,
resulting in higher accumulations of 1 to 2 inches. Isolated
slick will be possible, especially on bridges and overpasses.
The snow is expected to taper off from north to south through the
predawn hours with temperatures expected to fall to the lower-
to- mid 20s later this morning.
