Heavy snow continues for the Haines and Skagway areas. As
temperatures slowly warm aloft, a period of freezing rain is
expected.
* WHAT…Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 3
inches.
* WHERE…Haines Borough and Klukwan.
* WHEN…Until 6 AM AKST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS…Travel will be very difficult.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Snow will continue through Monday night for
the upper portions of the Chilkat Valley. Freezing rain has been
reported along Mud Bay as of 8pm Monday and will spread over
Haines overnight before surface temperatures warm above freezing
on Tuesday.
