Winds blowing from the southwest are forecast to increase to 15-20
mph late morning through the afternoon hours. Gusts of 30-40 mph
will be possible, which may affect holiday decorations and blow
around any unsecured items. Wind gusts are forecast to diminish
somewhat by early evening.

Scattered rain and snow showers are forecast this evening and
tonight as a strong cold front moves through the region. A quick
dusting of snow accumulation is possible in southern Indiana,
north-central Kentucky, and the Bluegrass Region. Light
precipitation, combined with rapidly falling temperatures early
Thursday morning, may result in scattered slick spots on roads.
This could impact the Thursday morning commute. Drivers should
use caution, slow down and allow extra space between vehicles.

Finally, falling temperatures and breezy winds from the northwest
Thursday morning will produce wind chills in the single digits to
teens.
