High Surf Advisory issued December 6 at 2:48AM ChST until December 10 at 3:00PM ChST by NWS Tiyan GU

* WHAT…Large breaking waves of 7 to 10 feet in the surf zone.

* WHERE…North and east facing reefs of Kosrae.

* WHEN…From 3 AM Friday to 3 PM ChST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS…Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
localized beach erosion.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…A building trade-wind swell will move into
Micronesia over the next few days. Surf will initially be
hazardous along east facing reefs this morning, spreading to
north facing reefs tonight into Saturday. Surf is expected to
peak over the weekend before beginning to slowly subside early
next week.
