HAZARDS…A snow squall accompanied by winds of up to 45 MPH which
can rapidly reduce visibility to less than a quarter of a mile.
LOCATION AND MOVEMENT…At 353 AM EST, a snow squall was over DuBois
moving east at 55 MPH. The snow will last 15 to 20 minutes at any
location along I-80 as this squall passes, and it may produce
another half inch or more of snow as it passes through.
LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE…
DuBois, Clearfield, Sandy, Philipsburg, Woodland, Curwensville,
Penfield, Hyde, Plymptonville, Rockton, Chester Hill, Karthaus,
and Snow Shoe.
For those driving on Interstate 80, this includes areas between the
Dubois and Milesburg exits, specifically from mile markers 97 to 153.
SAFETY INFO… Consider delaying travel or exiting the highway until
the squall is over. Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter
weather situations. Be prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow
