between 4 and 7 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph…causing
blowing and drifting snow and very low visibilities.
* WHERE…A portion of Northern Lower Michigan.
* WHEN…Until 7 PM EST this evening.
* IMPACTS…Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will
likely become slick and hazardous. Whiteout conditions are
expected and will make travel treacherous and potentially
life-threatening. The strong winds and weight of snow on tree
limbs may down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages.
Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could
impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes.
