Winter Weather Advisory issued December 5 at 3:20AM EST until December 6 at 4:00AM EST by NWS Binghamton NY

* WHAT…Snow and blowing snow. Additional snow accumulations
between 2 and 5 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph will
produce areas of blowing snow.

* WHERE…A portion of central New York including, Yates, Seneca,
Southern Cayuga, Steuben, Tompkins and Broome counties.

* WHEN…Until 4 AM EST Friday.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Thursday morning and evening commutes. Gusty
winds could bring down tree branches.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Embedded snow squalls may reduce visibility
to near zero at times. Winds will become increasingly strong and
gusty later today and tonight as the event transitions to lake
effect snow and blowing snow.
