* WHAT…For the High Wind Watch this morning, west winds 25 to 35
mph with gusts up to 60 mph possible. For the High Wind Warning
starting later today, west winds 35 to 50 mph with gusts up to 75
mph possible.

* WHERE…Bordeaux area along Interstate 25 between Chugwater and
Wheatland.

* WHEN…For the High Wind Watch, until 11 AM MST this morning. For
the High Wind Warning, from 8 PM this evening to 5 PM MST Sunday.

* IMPACTS…Mainly to transportation. Strong cross winds will be
hazardous to light weight or high profile vehicles, including
campers and tractor trailers.

FEMA Extends Individual Assistance Deadline for Homeowners and Renters in Kentucky FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky homeowners and renters who suffered uninsured or underinsured damage to their property from the February Severe Storms, Flooding and Straight-line winds now have a few weeks left to apply for federal disaster assistance. FEMA has extended the application deadline to Sunday, May 25, 2025. FEMA assistance for individuals affected by the severe weather can cover rental assistance, temporary housing, home repairs, personal property losses and other disaster-related needs not covered by insurance.
