Special Weather Statement issued December 6 at 2:50PM AKST by NWS Fairbanks AK

Strong southerly (Chinook) flow will bring temperatures above
freezing from the Tanana Valley south to the Alaska Range on
Monday. At this time, temperatures in the Fairbanks area are most
likely to peak in the mid 30s, though there is a slight chance
that highs could reach 40 above. Temperatures along the Parks
Highway near Healy and along the Richardson Highway south of Delta
Junction will likely reach into the 40s.

These warm temperatures may cause travel surfaces to become very
slippery.
