A strong low pressure system south of the Aleutians and its
associated front will move northward into Southwest Alaska by
early Sunday morning. Precipitation will initially fall as snow,
but rapidly warming temperatures could allow for a brief period
of freezing rain before transitioning to all rain. As the front
lifts from south to north, the greatest chance for freezing rain
will be Sunday morning for Bristol Bay, and from late Sunday
morning through Sunday evening for the Kuskokwim Delta and
Lower Kuskokwim Valley regions. Temperatures are expected to
warm above freezing by Sunday night and allow precipitation to
change to all rain.
