Breezy conditions and marginally low relative humidity are
expected in lower elevations of Western North Carolina today. Land
management agencies have identified dry fuels and recent wildfire
activity. Even though winds may not be a significant factor in
accelerating the spread of any fires today, in this situation the
low relative humidity alone is sufficient to result in increased
danger of wildfires.
Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether
you can burn on Sunday. If you do burn, use extreme caution since
fires can quickly get out of hand under these conditions.
