– At 1115 PM AKST, river gauge reports indicate rises in water
levels from heavy rain in the advisory area. Rivers and
streams across the island may reach bankfull overnight into
Monday morning based on the current gauge report along Terror
River.
– Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional
rainfall amounts of 0.2 to 0.5 inches are possible.
Ponding of water on area roads is also possible through
Monday morning.
– For Terror River at Mouth near Kodiak:
At 11:00pm the stage was 5.13 feet.
Flood Stage is 5.0 feet.
Impacts:
At 5.0 feet: This level representative flows that occur about
once every 2-5 years. While impacts along Terror River are
minimal, this level is likely representative of the point at
which other ungaged streams may start to experience impacts.
