It is essential after transitioning from the Jaike arrival to the ILS 6 SIAP at Teterboro Airport (KTEB) that the mandatory crossing altitude at Dandy intersection be observed. The 1500 foot altitude is over scored and under scored to designate the requirement. Air Traffic Control typically will call 5 miles from Dandy, cross at 1500 feet, cleared for the ILS 6 approach. If ILS is selected early and the glide slope is intercepted and followed the aircraft will be positioned at approximately 1700 feet over Dandy (rather than the 1500 mandatory altitude) creating a separation issue with Newark traffic. Please observe the crossing restriction to avoid causing a Pilot Deviation and subsequent risk of loss of separation with other aircraft. Attachments show the SIAP and highlights.
