Flood Advisory issued December 11 at 5:19AM EST until December 11 at 8:30AM EST by NWS Columbia SC

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…A portion of central South Carolina, including the
following counties, Newberry and Saluda.

* WHEN…Until 830 AM EST.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 519 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Newberry, Saluda, Prosperity, Newberry College, Newberry
County Airport, Saluda County Airport, Little Mountain,
Pomaria, Silverstreet, Peak, Wyses Ferry, Stoney Hill,
Hollywood Elementary School, Hickory Grove, Riverbend Boat
Ramp, Circle Fire Station, Scurry Airport, Newberry County
Detention Center, Lake Murray Shores and Fairview Fire
Station.
