…HIGH SURF ADVISORY FOR NORTH AND WEST FACING SHORES OF NIIHAU
KAUAI OAHU MOLOKAI AND FOR NORTH FACING SHORES OF MAUI…

.Surf along north and west-facing shores will peak early this
evening as a northwest (330 degree) reinforcement moves through
the islands. This northwest swell is expected to drop during the
overnight through early morning hours, and surf is expected to
fall below advisory criteria by early Wednesday.

* WHAT…For north facing shores, surf of 15 to 20 feet. For west
facing shores, surf of 12 to 16 feet.

* WHERE…North and west facing shores of Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, and
Molokai, and north facing shores of Maui.

* WHEN…Until 6 AM HST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS…Moderate. Strong breaking waves and strong currents
will make swimming dangerous.
