Lake Effect Snow Warning issued December 11 at 4:09AM EST until December 12 at 4:00PM EST by NWS Cleveland OH

* WHAT…Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations
between 6 and 12 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE…Northern Erie and Southern Erie Counties.

* WHEN…From 4 PM this afternoon to 4 PM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be difficult. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes.
Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Snow showers today will transition to lake
effect snow tonight. Snow may be heavy at times tonight with rates
of 1 to 2 inches per hour. The snow band will shift north over
Lake Erie during the day on Thursday. The duration of heavy snow
will depend on the timing and placement of this band. Lighter snow
may return on Thursday night.
