Winter Storm Warning issued December 11 at 3:24AM EST until December 12 at 7:00AM EST by NWS Marquette MI

* WHAT…Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations
between 5 and 12 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will lead
to areas of blowing snow by the lakeshore late Wednesday.

* WHERE…Baraga, Keweenaw, Northern Houghton, and Southern Houghton
Counties.

* WHEN…From 7 AM this morning to 7 AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. Visibilities may drop
below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Snowfall rates of an inch or more per hour
are possible at times throughout the event.
