* WHAT…For the Winter Storm Warning, heavy snow expected. Total
snow accumulations between 1 to 2 feet, with local amounts up to
34 inches. Winds gusting as high as 65 mph. For the Winter Weather
Advisory, snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 5 and 12
inches. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph.

* WHERE…Portions of Siskiyou County, including the high terrain of
western and eastern Siskiyou County and Sawyers Bar road west of
Etna, portions of highway 97 northeast of Weed, and the City of
Tennant.

* WHEN…From 1 PM this afternoon to 4 PM PST Saturday.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Widespread
blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Friday evening commute. Very strong
winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Snowfall rates of one inch per hour are
likely Friday night into Saturday, with a 20-30% chance of 2 inch
per hour rates in the warning area.
