TRAVEL CONDITONS ON SATURDAY…
.Tonight, light precipitation will move into southern Minnesota and
spread into central and eastern MN by sunrise Saturday. A mix of
snow and sleet is expected initially, but it will transition to a
mix of freezing rain and snow through Saturday morning.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Saturday where the
combination of light ice and snow accumulations may result in
impacts to travel. This covers locations along and south of a line
from Redwood Falls to the Twin Cities metro, along with St. Croix
and Pierce counties in Wisconsin.
* WHAT…Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations up
to one inch, sleet accumulations up to one tenth of an inch, and
ice accumulations up to one tenth of an inch.
* WHERE…McLeod, Renville, Sibley, Blue Earth, Brown, Faribault,
Martin, Nicollet, Watonwan, and Redwood Counties.
* WHEN…From 9 PM this evening to noon CST Saturday.
* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions.
