…MIXED PRECIPIATION INCLUDING FREEZING RAIN EXPECTED TODAY…

.A storm system continues to lift northeast this morning bringing a
mix of freezing rain, sleet, and snow. Highest ice accumulations are
expected across northeast Iowa with two to three tenths of an inch
of ice accumulation, but at least a glaze of ice to a tenth of an
inch
possible elsewhere.

Freezing precipitation can quickly cause hazardous road conditions.
Higher ice amounts can also result in fallen trees and power lines
leading to power outages.

* WHAT…Significant icing expected. Total snow accumulations up to
one inch and ice accumulations between two to three tenths of an
inch.

* WHERE…Clayton County.

* WHEN…Until midnight CST tonight.

* IMPACTS…Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice.
Travel could be nearly impossible.
