Special Weather Statement issued December 14 at 5:31AM CST by NWS Bismarck ND

A low pressure system will bring a mixed bag of snow, rain and
freezing rain to much of western and central North Dakota on
Sunday, with a transition to mostly snow Sunday night through
Monday morning. Snow amounts are expected to range from an inch
or two along the International Border, to little or no snow along
the South Dakota Border. The highest potential for light ice
accumulations on Sunday will be over far northwest North Dakota,
but a light glaze is possible over much of western and south
central North Dakota. As the system exits the area Sunday night
into Monday morning, strong northwest winds will develop, with
some patchy blowing snow expected, especially over areas that see
the strong winds combined with falling snow.

If you have travel plans Sunday through Monday morning, be sure to
check the forecast and latest road conditions before leaving. You
may need to take it slow and allow extra travel time, or adjust
your plans.
