* WHAT…Heavy snow. Snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches below 6500
ft with 12 to 20 inches above 6500 feet. Snow accumulations of 16
to 20 inches west of Highway 89 with up to 30 inches along the
Sierra crest. Ridge winds will gust to 100 mph. Southwest winds 20
to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph and wave heights of 2 to 5 feet
on Lake Tahoe.

* WHEN…Until 10 PM PST this evening.
* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
hazardous conditions could impact the Friday and Saturday
commutes. Very strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees
and power lines. Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be
prone to capsizing and should remain off lake waters until
conditions improve.
