…A WINTRY MIX EXPECTED SUNDAY…

.Temperatures will support a mixture of freezing rain, sleet, and
snow as an area of low pressure moves northeast through the northern
Mid-Atlantic. Precipitation is expected to begin after midnight
Saturday night with potential impacts to travel Sunday.

* WHAT…Freezing rain, mixed with sleet or snow at times. Total ice
accumulation of one to two tenths of an inch. Total snow and sleet
accumulations of an inch or less.

* WHERE…Portions of southwest and west central Virginia and
southeast West Virginia… generally along and west of the Blue
Ridge, and east of I-77.

* WHEN…From 3 AM to 7 PM EST Sunday.

* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. Ice may also
accumulate on trees.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…A wintry mix is possible, with freezing rain
being the main precipitation type where temperatures are below
freezing.
