dangerous avalanche conditions exist.
* WHERE…The White Cloud, Smoky, Boulder, Pioneer, and Soldier
Mountains, including the mountains surrounding Smiley Creek,
Atlanta, Galena Summit, Trail Creek Summit, and Fairfield. The
backcountry avalanche warning does not apply to highway
avalanche programs or operating ski areas.
* WHEN…In effect Sat 7 AM MST to SUN 6 AM MST.
* IMPACTS…An intense storm bringing heavy snow and strong winds
will overload a very weak snowpack. Natural and human-triggered
avalanches large enough to bury people are almost certain to
