…COASTAL FLOOD STATEMENT IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT…

.Peak monthly tides combined with water levels running higher
than predicted could lead to minor coastal flooding issues for
vulnerable low-lying coastal areas during the peak daily high
tide cycle between midnight and daybreak.

* WHAT…Isolated minor coastal flooding.

* WHERE…Portions of Kahoolawe, Kauai, Lanai, Maui, Molokai,
Niihau, Oahu, and the Big Island.

* WHEN…Through late tonight, with the main focus between
midnight and daybreak.

* IMPACTS…Flooding of beaches that are normally dry, minor
coastal erosion, and saltwater inundation.
