Patchy dense fog continues has developed across portions of
coastal eastern North Carolina this morning. Sudden reductions to
visibility can be expected with visibilities dropping below 1/2
mile at times. Visibilities are expected to improve between 9 and
10 AM as mixing begins after sunrise and winds increase but could
take longer as the fog along the coast is coming from off the
ocean and is harder for wind to dissipate.
If traveling, allow extra time to reach your destination.
