Flood Advisory issued December 18 at 10:08AM EST until December 18 at 1:15PM EST by NWS Miami FL

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…A portion of southeast Florida, including the following
county, South Southeast Broward.

* WHEN…Until 115 PM EST.

* IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 1005 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
slow moving thunderstorms drifting south southwest. Minor
flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the
advisory area.
– Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are expected over the area
during the next couple of hours as the storms move slowly
south southwest. These rain will result in minor flooding.If
the rainfall amounts increase more than forecast, then a
Flash Flood warning may be needed for this area.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Fort Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines, Hollywood, Miramar, Davie,
Plantation, Sunrise, Lauderhill, Dania Beach, Cooper City,
West Park, Nova Southeastern University, Chambers Estates,
Royal Palm Ranches, Broadview Park, Pine Island Ridge, Oak
Point, Sunshine Acres, Estates Of Fort Lauderdale and
Ravenswood Estates.
