Special Weather Statement issued December 18 at 10:25AM EST by NWS Morristown TN

At 1025 AM EST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Strunk, or 8 miles northeast of Oneida, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include…
Oneida, Jellico, Winfield, Elk Valley, Ketchen, Indian Mountain State
Park, Clairfield, and White Oak.
