Special Weather Statement issued December 18 at 3:45AM CST by NWS Duluth MN

Confidence continues to increase in the potential for a band of 3
to 6 inches of snow for much of northern Minnesota and northwest
Wisconsin, with the highest snowfall totals expected along and
south of Highway 2. There is still some uncertainty in exactly
where and how wide this band of snow develops.

Hazardous travel conditions may develop as a result of the
accumulating snow, particularly for the Thursday morning commute,
during which the heaviest snow may fall.

Drivers should prepare for a slower and longer commute Thursday
morning and keep up with the latest forecasts and statements from
the National Weather Service.

A winter weather advisory may become necessary. Please monitor
local media outlets and the National Weather Service for further
statements.
