Snow is expected in portions of northern Iowa this morning
reducing visibilities to a mile or less at times. There may be
brief periods when visibilities dip below one quarter of a mile in
the heaviest snow. Light accumulations are expected, generally an
inch or less by late morning. As the snow comes to an end from
west to east during the morning, there may also be a brief period
of freezing drizzle. If traveling in northern Iowa this morning,
be prepared for wintry precipitation and reduced visibilities. In
addition, winds pick up from the west into the afternoon which may
also restrict visibilities due to blowing snow.
