High Surf Advisory issued December 20 at 5:46AM PST until December 25 at 4:00AM PST by NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA

* WHAT…Large breaking waves of 8 to 12 feet with dangerous rip
currents. Local sets up to 15 feet are possible Monday night
into Tuesday.

* WHERE…Malibu Coast and Los Angeles County Beaches.

* WHEN…From 10 PM Saturday to 4 AM PST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS…There is an increased risk for ocean drowning. Rip
currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large
breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and
rocks, and capsize small boats near shore.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Minor coastal flooding and beach erosion
are possible, especially during the high tides Monday into
Tuesday. High tides will be between 4.4 and 4.7 feet and occur
between 4 and 5 AM PST. A High Surf Warning may be needed Monday
into Tuesday.
