* WHAT…Large breaking waves with dangerous rip currents. Surf
will be highest across west and northwest facing beaches. For
the Central Coast Beaches, breaking waves of 12 to 18 feet with
local sets to 20 feet are expected, except 18 to 25 feet Monday
into Tuesday. For the Santa Barbara South Coast Beaches,
breaking waves of 6 to 10 feet are expected, except 8 to 12 feet
Monday afternoon into Tuesday. For the Ventura County beaches,
breaking waves of 8 to 12 feet with local sets to 15 feet are
expected, except 10 to 17 feet Monday night into Tuesday.

* WHERE…San Luis Obispo County Beaches, Santa Barbara County
Central Coast Beaches, Santa Barbara County Southwestern
Coast, Santa Barbara County Southeastern Coast and Ventura
County Beaches.

* WHEN…From 2 AM Saturday to 2 AM PST Friday.

* IMPACTS…There is an increased risk for ocean drowning. Rip
currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large
breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and
rocks, and capsize small boats near shore.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…A high surf warning will likely be needed
Monday night through Tuesday for the Central Coast and Ventura
County beaches, and may be needed for the Santa Barbara South
Coast. Additionally, minor coastal flooding and beach erosion
are possible, especially during the morning high tides Monday
into Tuesday. High tides will be between 4.4 and 4.7 feet and
occur between 4 and 5 AM PST.
