Winter Weather Advisory issued December 22 at 5:58AM AKST until December 24 at 3:00PM AKST by NWS Fairbanks AK

* WHAT…Blowing snow expected. Winds gusting as high as 45 to
50 mph. Visibility will be reduced to 1/2 mile or less at
times.

* WHERE…Dalton Highway Summits.

* WHEN…Until 3 PM AKST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing
snow could significantly reduce visibility. The cold wind
chills as low as 35 below zero could cause frostbite on
exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Blowing snow will be localized until Sunday
morning when snow moves over the area. 3 to 6 inches of snow is
expected over a two day period, which will result in much more
significant blowing and/or drifting snow.
