Meteorological Summary:
- Another day of rain-free conditions can be expected across much of the Sunshine State today, with isolated to widely scattered showers forecast for the Florida East Coast (25-35% chance of rain).
- Breezy conditions linger into the afternoon along the Northeast Florida coastline, with wind gusts reaching 15-20 mph at times this morning.
- Areas of fog and low clouds return to the forecast tonight into Tuesday morning, especially along the I-4 corridor and southern Nature Coast; instances of localized patchy fog will also be possible further south along the Florida Gulf Coast and Southwest Florida early Tuesday morning.
- Temperatures continue a gradual warming trend this afternoon; lows remain well above freezing statewide tonight.
- An elevated risk of rip currents can be expected at many Florida beaches today, with high risk conditions outlooked along Northeast and Southeast Florida beaches.
- Poor to hazardous beach and marine conditions can be expected along the Florida Atlantic Coast, with wave heights of 4-6′ possible in the surf zone.
