The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for…
Southwestern Collin County in north central Texas…
Northwestern Dallas County in north central Texas…
Southeastern Denton County in north central Texas…

* Until 200 PM CST.

* At 1052 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Radar estimates up to 2 inches
of rain have fallen so far this morning with rainfall rates of 1
to 2 inches per hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches
are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT…Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other
poor drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include…
North Dallas, Plano, Garland, Irving, McKinney, Carrollton,
Frisco, Richardson, Lewisville, Allen, Flower Mound, Grapevine,
Coppell, The Colony, Farmers Branch, Addison, Murphy, Fairview,
Lucas and Parker.
