High Wind Warning issued December 23 at 12:29PM PST until December 24 at 3:00PM PST by NWS Reno NV

* WHAT…For Walker Lake, Hawthorne and Vicinity, Southwest winds 30
to 40 mph and gusts up to 70 mph. Otherwise, southwest winds 15 to
30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* WHERE…Mineral and Southern Lyon Counties.

* WHEN…From 4 AM to 3 PM PST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS…Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The strongest winds between Walker Lake and
Hawthorne will be between sunrise and noon.
