Special Weather Statement issued December 25 at 11:13AM MST by NWS Grand Junction CO

HAZARDS…A band of heavy snow which can rapidly reduce visibility to
less than a quarter of a mile.

LOCATION AND MOVEMENT…At 1112 AM MST, a band of heavy snow was over
Glenwood Springs moving east at 20 MPH.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE…
Glenwood Springs, Eagle, Gypsum, Carbondale, Basalt, Dotsero, Cattle
Creek, El Jebel, Emma, and Shoshone.

This includes the following highways…
Interstate 70 in Colorado between mile markers 114 and 149.
Colorado 82 between mile markers 1 and 24.
Colorado 133 between mile markers 64 and 68.

Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra
time to reach your destination.
