Winter Storm Warning issued December 25 at 4:54AM AKST until December 25 at 3:00PM AKST by NWS Fairbanks AK

* WHAT…Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations of up to four
inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. Visibility as low as
1/2 mile at times in blowing snow.

* WHERE…South Slopes of the Western Brooks Range, Upper Kobuk
Valleys and Lower Koyukuk Valley.

* WHEN…Until 3 PM AKST this afternoon.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. The dangerously cold
wind chills as low as 35 below zero could cause frostbite on
exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
