* WHAT…Hazardous surf of 8 to 11 feet and dangerous rip
currents.
* WHERE…For the High Surf Advisory, north facing reefs
of the Marianas. For the High Rip Current Risk, north and
east facing reefs of Marianas.
* WHEN…For the High Surf Advisory, until 4 PM ChST Saturday.
For the High Rip Current Risk, through Saturday afternoon.
* IMPACTS…Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best
swimmers away from shore into deeper water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The northerly swell has begun to peak
across the region. Over the last hour the Ritidian buouy reported
only northeasterly swells with the north-northwest swell and
northerly swell diminishing. The CFW has been updated to remove
west facing reefs from the High Surf Advisory. The High Surf
Advisory was continues through Saturday for north facing reefs.
