Beach Hazards Statement issued December 28 at 9:50AM PST until December 29 at 4:00PM PST by NWS San Diego CA

* WHAT…Elevated surf of 4 to 7 feet, dangerous rip currents,
minor overflow during highest tides.

* WHERE…San Diego County Coastal Areas.

* WHEN…Through Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
localized beach erosion.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Increasing astronomical tides through
this weekend (peaking 12/31) combined with elevated surf could
lead to minor tidal overflow during morning high tides. Minor
flooding is possible in low-lying areas along the beach, such
as beach parking lots. This includes areas like Imperial Beach
and Cardiff- by-the-Sea. Highest tides for La Jolla each day
are as follows:.

Sunday – 6.0 feet at 719 AM.
