At 1028 AM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles south of Lafitte, or 12 miles east of Cut Off, moving northeast
at 20 mph.

HAZARD…Half inch hail.

SOURCE…Radar indicated.

IMPACT…Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include…
Harvey, Timberlane, Belle Chasse, Marrero, Gretna, Jean Lafitte,
Woodmere, Lafitte, Estelle, and Barataria.

FEMA Extends Individual Assistance Deadline for Homeowners and Renters in Kentucky FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky homeowners and renters who suffered uninsured or underinsured damage to their property from the February Severe Storms, Flooding and Straight-line winds now have a few weeks left to apply for federal disaster assistance. FEMA has extended the application deadline to Sunday, May 25, 2025. FEMA assistance for individuals affected by the severe weather can cover rental assistance, temporary housing, home repairs, personal property losses and other disaster-related needs not covered by insurance.
